Pipeline pigging is important part in pipeline maintenance. Different kind of pigs are used to perform different function such as drying cleaning, batching, gauging etc.

Cleaning and gauging the pipeline to remove construction debris and prove that the pipeline is within diameter tolerance and that no damage or buckling occurred during construction

Hydrotesting is a typical process carried out to check the integrity of the pipeline and for making sure that the pipelines are in their optimal state to be operated.

Nitrogen Testing is a process to ensure any installation which is in contact with gas or liquids containing hydrocarbons to be leakage tight before it is operational.

After a successful hydrotest, the pipeline needs to go through a dewatering process. As a fact that water can potentially lead to corrosion or hydrates, drying the pipeline is very critical and must be performed efficiently.

Flushing is a process of pumping water, in sufficient quantity and velocity, through a given section of pipeline, completely filling that section of pipeline, such that the flow of water through the system will forcibly remove any loose rust, mill scale or construction debris from the system.

Degassing is process of destruct vapors from pipeline. Pipelines can contain large volumes of toxic and odorous emissions and when vented to the atmosphere can cause nuisance and community complaints.

Preservation of pipeline.

Decommissioning of pipeline which involves the pigging, flushing, filling, and plugging of each line, followed by abandonment in place.
